MIll Hill "SNow Days" completed today

Hi.  I completed the beading today and as you can see, I realized after I put the frame sitting on top of the fabric, that I forgot to put the little ceramic dog in the bottom left corner.   also you may note that I did use 28 count monaco fabric instead of the paper from the kit as I don't enjoy stitching on the paper.  I found the extra 0332 green beads that were missing from the kit, in my stash of extra beads which was lovely. I was surprised with stitching this kit, with 36 of the 0332 beads missing and the number of  petite crystal beads 40161 that didnt even fit the needle that they sent with the kit, I wondered of the ones who have stitched Mill Hill kits, have you had problems with this too.?  A little note too, I used B5200 dmc thread instead of the 000 white.  In person it does show up better against the white fabric.   Happy Stitching all! I'm on to Margaret Sherry 'Domestic Goddess' which I haven't worked on for a long time!  lol

Mill Hill "Snow Days" Ready for Beads now!

I finished all the white. Yay! lol  My pet peeve colour!  I checked the pattern over a couple of times to find I'd missed a few stitches of other colours, but the cross stitching is completed now and I can start my beading.   Since I  found a few years ago, the short beading needles, I love to bead.  It's much easier with the short beading needle.  Well, stitching friends, I've read lots of your blogs and so many people doing so much stitching.  It's wonderful to see.  Happy Stitching!! :)

Mill Hill "Snow Day"

Hi I worked on mostly white (B5200 instead of 000 as I'm stitching white on white linen).  I also got the green hat done and a little of the grey.   I'm excited that I'm almost done the cross stitching and soon on to the beading which I love.  Happy Stitching everyone!! :)

Christmas stitching!

Time passes very quickly when stitching, but I must say I'm happy that I completed 12 quick Christmas stitchings which I'll show you after the holidays.  I'm working again on Mill Hill Snow Day over two on 28 count fabric.  To make the snow stand out a bit, as the fabric is off white, I'm using 5200DMC which is a bit whiter I think.  I think with the red frame it should pop!  Happy Stitching everyone! :)

Nordic Santa, Lucie Heaton Design

I completed this Nordic Santa, which is one of the four Nordic Santas designed by Lucie Heaton, this evening, although I had started it last year sometime.  I used seed beads for the snow, which does give it a bit of depth in person.  And I couldn't believe this evening, on tv, there was the first of probably many Christmas shows!!!!!  :) Oh, and we had some snow today, big fluffy flakes, but then it all melted a couple of hours later.  :)

Spooky Welcome - Stoney Creek design Completed!

Happy Halloween everyone!  Thanks to the last posts for your wonderful comments, as this also motivated me to stitch a little longer just to get this done!  I completed Spooky Welcome at 11:01 pm this evening! Yay!

I enjoyed stitching this cute design, and also making the two little bats out of fimo clay.  Halloween for me, was always a very fun and enjoyable time, spent with my siblings, and neighbours. I have great memories which I will always treasure!  :)

Spooky Welcome, a week to go

Just a quick update on my Spooky Welcome.  It's got a ways to go so I;m not sure if it's going to be ready for 2015 Halloween.  :)  I also don;t have much DMC 310 left, and I have ordered more, but it could take a couple of weeks to get here.  It's okay though, as I don't want to rush through it.  It is fun to stitch on the koolaid dyed fabric.  Happy Halloween everyone, early!   :)
